C208 waiting to be loaded

I think I need a holiday! Today again was not easy to get up, I dragged myself out of bed and before I knew it I was at the airport. I grabbed a takeaway coffee (worst coffee I have had in a while) and walked out to the waiting crew and plane ready for the day. Rob and I went through our normal routine of preflight, compressor wash and briefing each other for the day. I called for boarding and we were in the air and on our way to Nagan Raya. The flight went off without a hitch, weather was good and the air cool which woke me up a little. We had another sunny day to Simeulue Island with breathtaking views of the islands around, and some great waves I might add. A quick turnaround in Simeulue and we were on our way back to Nagan and then Banda Aceh. With only cumulous clouds scattered around at low level the flying was easy and Rob and I just chatted away.

A quick nasi for lunch, another coffee and some very overweight passengers we set off for Kutacane on the max weight limit of our Cessna Caravan. You can really feel the performance difference on the takeoff, the climb to cruise altitude is even worse, but we eventually got there. Again just some low cumulous on the way we had nothing to worry about and could pretty much go direct to our destination (we normally fly company set routes). We landed, loaded and took off from Kutacane in about 10 mins and cruised back to Aceh to finish a looong day.
