Loading up Kutacane

Back to flying after a 5 days of PPC, which went well by the way and that is why I am back flying. I woke up in Medan this morning at a fresh 05:00 this morning for a schedule starting at 07:00. Tadeu (Brazilian) and I set off to Similue Island for the first leg of the day with only 1 pax. The weather was not that great enroute but was ok for the landing in Similue, with just a couple low clouds over the higher terrain (which is mostly low anyway).


Tadeu was going to be swapping with Aymeric (French) and heading back to Medan and Aymeric and I would be heading to Bande Aceh where I would be based for the next two weeks before going on holiday. We waited for the guys for 20 odd minutes before they arrived and quickly swapped crew loaded up planes and set off to our respective destinations. A quick flight to Nagan Raya and then on to Bande Aceh for a soto ayam lunch. Next to Kutacane for the last 2 legs of the day. Again weather was not on our side until the very end where it cleared up nicely overhead so we could descend without a problem. A quick turn around and a few photos and we were back in the air. The other 2 were just coming in and we managed to get a quick shot of them as we circled up out of the valley. A long but good day came to an end in a new base for a couple of weeks!
